THE BENCHWARMERS’ EP
Three interactive artworks at three different locations in Amersfoort.

At three locations an architectural anomaly took place. An object made up of an architectural idiosyncrasy was rolling along a random route. Where the object rolled a song played. Experienced via a walk through the exhibition the sites also functioned as an EP composed of original music made specific for each site, only to be released in this way.

Each location featured a bench, and visitors were able to sit and see the work and listen to the song. It was also possible to walk around and see the object from any direction.

My work was part of the exhibition RUIS in Amersfoort, curated by Ian Paul de Ruiter, featuring his own physical tree sculpture that gave the visitor a key to unlock 9 artists and their works in and around the city.

Using a custom app the visitor could walk a digital/physical tour of Amersfoort during the month of September, 2023.

Apart from my own work I helped facilitate the AR app in collaboration with Wintor, and I programmed the works of Esther Jiskoot, Merijn Bolink, Katja Mater.
